Affiliation

Since 2011, the Bess W. Scott Scholarship Fund has been affiliated with the Austin Community Foundation. (Please click on link to donate to the BWS Fund.)

For the previous 20 years, the Writers’ League of Texas was our home. We continue to count the League as a good friend and a valuable resource.

Created in the late 1970s, the Austin Community Foundation has grown into a major philanthropic institution that serves as adviser and funds administrator to more than 900 charitable funds. With $120 million in assets, it acts as a huge umbrella for smaller organizations such as the BWS Scholarship Fund.
